FRUIT TREES AND BERRIES
Deer love eating fruit and they will seek out food plots with ripe fruit.  By planting a variety of plants that will bear fruit throughout the entire season, you can habituate them to come back regularly to a plot.

ANNUAL FRUIT CALENDAR 
Note - this calendar is typical for southern states in Zones 7-9 from North Carolina to Texas. For Zone 6, the ripening dates start later in June, and end slightly sooner. For Zones 4-5, most of the harvest for all fruit will be from August through October.

April - Mulberries, 
May - Mulberries, Peaches, Blueberries (early)
June - Peaches, Blueberries,
July - Apples, Pears, Blueberries, Blackberries
August - Apples, Pears, Blackberries, Grapes, Figs, Persimmons (early)
September - Apples, Pears, Grapes, Persimmons, Chestnuts, Figs
October - Apples, Pears, Persimmons, Chestnuts, 
November - Apples (late), Pears (late), Persimmons (late)
